## New Regulations for Filipino Workers
Starting Monday, May 18, Oman will require Filipino workers to undergo mandatory pre-arrival medical examinations. This initiative, announced by Oman's Ministry of Labour, aims to streamline the recruitment process for expatriates.
## Coordination with Authorities
The new system involves coordination with relevant authorities and Oman Post. Recruitment agencies must adhere to approved procedures, including completing medical examinations through a designated electronic platform before workers enter Oman.
## Online Application System
Applications for these medical examinations can be submitted via the official Online Medical Examination Application System. The ministry has also circulated operational guidelines to overseas recruitment agencies in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Oman.
## Goals of the Initiative
The initiative seeks to enhance regulatory oversight, improve procedural efficiency, and facilitate the recruitment process for both employers and expatriate workers.
