Sharjah Museums Authority is offering complimentary access to all its museums in Sharjah City, Khor Fakkan, and Kalba on May 18. This initiative is part of a four-day celebration for International Museum Day, running from May 15 to 18, under the theme "Museums Uniting a Divided World."

## Diverse Program

The event includes workshops, guided tours, live music, panel discussions, and a temporary art exhibition. These activities aim to foster cultural dialogue and community engagement, reflecting the vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.

## Inclusive Experiences

The program is designed to be inclusive, offering experiences for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Activities are available in multiple languages and are tailored to different communities, including those with disabilities.

## Key Events

Celebrations kick off on May 15 at Sharjah Fort with guided tours and workshops. On May 16, the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization will host a panel discussion on museums' roles in cultural understanding. The Sharjah Maritime Museum will focus on maritime heritage on May 17, featuring youth-led initiatives and workshops for people with disabilities.

## Special Exhibition

An exhibition titled "Between the Lines" will be held at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization from May 16 to 18. It will showcase works by over 23 artists, including those with disabilities, highlighting human stories and experiences.

## Passport Campaign

The "Sharjah Museums Passport" campaign encourages visitors to explore at least five museums, collect stamps, and share their experiences on social media for a chance to win prizes. This campaign runs until May 31, 2026.
