## Strategic Agreements Enhance UAE-India Partnership

The UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have overseen the signing of several strategic agreements aimed at bolstering cooperation between the two nations. These agreements were finalized during Modi's official visit to the UAE.

## Key Agreements and MoUs

Among the significant deals is a Strategic Collaboration Agreement between the Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), focusing on oil and LPG supplies. Additionally, a Framework Agreement on Strategic Defence Partnership was signed between the defense ministries of both countries.

In the technology sector, a Term Sheet was agreed upon to establish a supercomputing cluster in India, involving G42 Group and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, Cochin Shipyard Limited and Drydocks World have partnered to develop a ship repair cluster in Vadinar, India.

## Investment Initiatives

The agreements also include substantial investments, such as Emirates NBD's acquisition of a 60% stake in RBL Bank for Dh11.02 billion. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is investing Dh3.67 billion in India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund, while International Holding Company is acquiring equity in Sammaan Capital for the same amount.

These developments underscore the deepening strategic partnership between the UAE and India, with significant implications for energy, defense, and technology sectors.
