## Conflicting Reports on Mohsin Naqvi's Travel Plans
As the IPL 2026 final approaches, speculation is rife about whether Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi will attend the event in Ahmedabad. The final is scheduled for May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, coinciding with important ICC Board meetings.
## Invitations and Diplomatic Tensions
Reports from Pakistan, including Geo Super, indicate that Naqvi has been invited to both the ICC meetings and the IPL final. The ICC discussions, focusing on the World Test Championship's future, are set for May 30 and 31, with a virtual Chief Executives Committee meeting on May 21.
However, ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan complicate travel for cricket officials. Indian media suggests Naqvi is unlikely to attend in person, opting instead for virtual participation from Pakistan.
## Venue Change and Official Silence
Originally planned for Doha, Qatar, the ICC meetings were moved to Ahmedabad due to geopolitical issues in West Asia. Despite the speculation, neither the ICC nor the PCB has confirmed Naqvi's travel plans. Current indications suggest he will participate remotely, barring any last-minute changes.
