A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Guangxi region in southern China early Monday morning. The tremor was centered in Liuzhou city and occurred at 12:21 am local time.

## Casualties and Damage

The quake resulted in the deaths of two individuals, identified as a 63-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman. Additionally, 13 buildings collapsed, and one person remains missing.
