## New Route Announcement
Saudi Arabia's budget airline, flyadeal, is set to launch its first regular flights to India. Starting July 1, 2026, the airline will operate daily non-stop services between Riyadh and Hyderabad. This marks flyadeal's entry into the Indian market, a significant move given the high travel demand between the Gulf and India.
## Strategic Expansion
Hyderabad is flyadeal's inaugural destination in India, with plans to announce a second route soon. The city is a key technology and business hub in southern India, with strong ties to the Gulf region. The airline aims to tap into the large Indian expatriate population in Saudi Arabia, estimated at 2.5 to 2.7 million, and the continuous flow of religious pilgrims.
## Fleet and Operations
The new route will utilize Airbus A320neo aircraft, configured with 186 Economy Class seats. Until now, flyadeal's operations between India and Saudi Arabia were limited to special Hajj and Umrah flights. This expansion is part of a broader strategy under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance tourism and international connectivity.
## Broader Network
flyadeal, a subsidiary of Saudia, currently operates a fleet of 46 Airbus A320 family aircraft, serving 37 destinations from bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam. The airline's international network includes routes to the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, and Pakistan, with India now joining this list.
