Passport services for Indian expats in UAE: Alhind reveals 16 centres

## New Centres for Indian Expats

Alhind Tours and Travels has announced the establishment of 16 new Indian consular service centres across the UAE. These centres, set to open on July 1, 2026, will provide passport, visa, and other consular services for the Indian community and visitors to India.

## Locations Across the Emirates

The new centres will be distributed across all seven emirates. Abu Dhabi will host six centres, including locations in Al Khalidiya and Al Reem Island. Dubai will have two centres in Bur Dubai and Dubai Investment Park. Other centres will be located in Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Khor Fakkan, Kalba, and Ras Al Khaimah.

## Transition from BLS International

Alhind will take over from BLS International, which has been providing these services since 2011. The transition follows an international tender process, with Alhind securing the contract by offering the lowest bid of Dh19 per transaction.

## Comprehensive Services

The centres will offer a range of services including passport renewals, visa processing, and OCI card applications. Infrastructure setup and staff recruitment are in progress to ensure readiness for the July launch.
