The "Pledge and Commitment" initiative was launched in Abu Dhabi on May 19, bringing together over 4,800 participants, including residents, leaders, and students. The event took place at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre and aimed to honor the leadership of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

## National Unity and Leadership

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, emphasized the initiative's role in expressing national loyalty and appreciation for the President's leadership. He highlighted the UAE's values of coexistence, peace, and collective responsibility, noting the President's significant impact on the country's global standing.

## Participation and Engagement

The initiative began with symbolic signatures from Sheikh Nahyan and 30 prominent figures, followed by wider participation through a QR code shared on social media. The program is built on four pillars: promoting unity, drawing inspiration from leadership values, strengthening civic responsibility, and expressing gratitude for the UAE's stability.

## Community Involvement

Josie Conlu, community director of Infinite Communities, noted the initiative's importance for expatriates, reinforcing a sense of shared belonging and encouraging civic participation. She emphasized the role of community activities in fostering mutual respect and cooperation among different nationalities.

## Future Plans

The initiative is set to expand through universities, companies, and community events across the UAE. A multilingual online platform has also been launched to encourage broader engagement from both citizens and residents.
