Dubai Airports prepares for Hajj peak with 3,600 pilgrims expected

## Hajj Travel Arrangements

Dubai Airports is set to manage over 3,600 pilgrims during this year's Hajj season, representing nearly 59% of the UAE's total pilgrims. Flights for Hajj will be operated by Emirates, Saudia, flydubai, and flynas, with departures continuing until May 23. The official Dubai Government delegation is scheduled to leave on May 21.

## Coordinated Efforts

The airport's operational plan has been developed in collaboration with various entities, including airlines, Dubai Police, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs. Other partners include Dubai Customs, the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, dnata, Dubai Duty Free, and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.

## Facilities and Support

To facilitate smooth travel, dedicated check-in counters and strategically located gates have been arranged. Multilingual staff, support desks, prayer rooms, and Ihram changing facilities are available to assist pilgrims. Special provisions are in place for elderly and disabled passengers, including increased wheelchair availability and on-site medical services.

## Travel Advice

Pilgrims are advised to arrive at least four hours before their flights and ensure they have all necessary documents, such as Hajj permits and vaccination certificates. Return flights are scheduled between May 30 and June 2, with special arrangements for arrivals, including separate baggage belts for Zamzam water.
