Emirates SkyCargo expands fleet with first converted cargo aircraft

## New Addition to the Fleet

Emirates SkyCargo has introduced a new aircraft to its fleet, marking a significant milestone in its operations. The airline is now the first to operate the Boeing 777-300ERSF, a passenger plane converted into a freighter. This aircraft, registered as A6-EBK, recently completed its inaugural flight from Hong Kong to Dubai, transporting over 100 tonnes of cargo.

## Enhanced Cargo Capacity

The converted Boeing 777-300ERSF offers a substantial increase in cargo volume, with a capacity of 811 cubic meters and the ability to carry 47 pallet positions. This is a 25% increase compared to the Boeing 777-F production freighter, making it ideal for larger shipments, including e-commerce goods, which are a growing segment of global air cargo.

## Future Expansion Plans

Emirates SkyCargo plans to further expand its fleet with additional converted aircraft. By December 2026, another Boeing 777-300ERSF will join the fleet, followed by three more in 2027. The airline also intends to add five Boeing 777-F production freighters by 2027, enhancing its global network and capacity.

## Strategic Growth

The expansion aligns with Emirates SkyCargo's strategy to meet rising demand for air cargo services. The airline has already increased its freighter network from 40 to 62 destinations since February 2026. This growth supports the rapid transport of goods worldwide, leveraging Dubai as a central hub.
