Emirates issues travel advisory ahead of summer rush at DXB

## Busy Summer Travel at DXB

Emirates has issued a travel advisory for passengers flying out of Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3, anticipating a busy period as the summer holiday season kicks off. The airline expects high passenger volumes from July 3 to 5, with heavy travel likely continuing throughout the summer.

## Recommended Arrival Times

To avoid delays, Emirates advises travelers to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight, clear Immigration 90 minutes prior, and be at the boarding gate an hour before departure. Passengers should also consider potential road traffic and allow extra time for parking, security, and moving between concourses.

## Check-in Options

Emirates offers several check-in options to reduce waiting times, including online check-in available 48 hours before departure, self-service kiosks, and early baggage drop. Passengers can drop bags up to 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours for flights to the US.

## Transportation and Additional Services

To avoid road congestion, travelers are encouraged to use the Dubai Metro, which operates from 5 am to midnight on most days. Emirates also provides a City Check-in service at ICD Brookfield Place and Ajman Central Bus Terminal, allowing baggage drop from 24 to four hours before departure.

## Home Check-in and Special Services

For added convenience, Emirates offers home check-in services in Dubai and Sharjah, which must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. This service is free for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members. Additionally, People of Determination can access priority services at the airport, including dedicated lanes and complimentary parking.
