Emirates adds a third daily flight to Africa's biggest holiday destination

## New Flight Service

Emirates has introduced a third daily flight between Dubai and Nairobi, increasing the total to 21 weekly flights. This new service, EK717, arrives in Nairobi early in the morning, enhancing travel options for passengers from Europe and North America. The return flight, EK718, departs Nairobi in the morning, allowing for same-day connections to European cities.

## Strengthening Ties

The additional flight reflects Emirates' commitment to Kenya, a key destination since 1995. Over the years, the airline has transported more than six million passengers between Dubai and Nairobi. The new service aims to improve connectivity for travelers from Europe, North America, and beyond, facilitating tourism and business opportunities.

## Boosting Cargo Capacity

The new flight also increases cargo capacity by 280 tonnes weekly, benefiting Kenyan exporters of flowers and fresh produce. Emirates now transports over 1,100 tonnes of cargo in and out of Kenya each week, supporting the country's export market.

## Supporting Tourism Goals

Kenya aims to attract five million international tourists by 2030. The additional Emirates service is expected to enhance access for visitors from key global markets, supporting tourism growth and economic development. The UAE and Kenya recently signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to strengthen economic ties.

## Enhanced Connectivity

Emirates' interline partnership with Kenya Airways, established in 2023, allows passengers to connect across both airlines' networks. This partnership has facilitated travel for over 31,000 passengers to destinations like Rwanda and Mozambique, further enhancing Kenya's connectivity.
