## Tragic Incident in Kansas

A 33-year-old IT professional from Andhra Pradesh, India, tragically lost his life after his car was swept away by flash floods in Kansas, USA. Venkatesh Doppalapudi, who was residing in Omaha, Nebraska, was traveling to Houston when severe storms caused over six inches of rain in parts of Kansas.

## Rescue Efforts

Eyewitnesses reported seeing Doppalapudi's car submerged near a bridge. Despite immediate response from rescue teams, strong currents hindered their efforts. A coordinated search involving police drones and the Kansas Highway Patrol Air Unit led to the recovery of his body the following day.

## Community Support

The Consulate General of India in Houston expressed condolences and is working with local authorities and Doppalapudi's family to assist with legal formalities and repatriation of his remains to India.
