## Leadership Change in UAE's Philanthropic Efforts

The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has announced a significant restructuring of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council. This change is formalized under Federal Decree No. (94) of 2026.

## Sheikh Theyab's New Role

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been appointed as the new chairman of the council. He also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs.

## Council Members

The restructured council includes several key figures: Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, and Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi.

## Council's Mandate

Established in January 2024, the council is tasked with overseeing international humanitarian initiatives. It reports directly to the Chairman of the Presidential Court, ensuring alignment with the UAE's global humanitarian goals.
