## Strategic Growth

The UAE's media industry is part of a broader national strategy that views the sector as a key driver of economic development and investment. This approach has transformed the country into a vibrant media hub, where ideas are converted into soft power and economic value.

## Global Companies and Talent

The UAE hosts over 10,000 media companies and more than 55,000 media professionals. Notably, around 60% of Fortune 500 media companies have chosen the UAE as their regional base, highlighting its appeal as a headquarters for international media operations.

## Entertainment and Gaming

The entertainment sector in the UAE has seen significant growth, with major international productions taking place in 2025. The national box office generated Dh734 million, and the video gaming industry reached Dh2.7 billion, marking it as one of the fastest-growing sectors.

## Publishing and Digital Content

The publishing industry also expanded, with 1.2 million new titles entering the market in 2025. The National Media Authority issued over 100,000 permits for book circulation and publishing. Digital content has become a focus area, with more than 15,000 permits issued to content creators and digital advertisers since the launch of the Advertiser Permit system.

## Future Prospects

The National Media Authority plans to continue enhancing regulatory frameworks and digital services to support the sector's growth and reinforce the UAE's position as a global media hub.
