Sharjah Museums Authority lights up summer with camps and culture

## Diverse Educational Programs

The Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has unveiled its Summer Season 2026, offering a variety of educational and cultural activities for children, youth, and families. The initiative aims to enhance the role of museums as centers for learning and creativity.

## Sharjah Museums Ambassadors Programme

Kicking off the season is the 18th Sharjah Museums Ambassadors Programme, running from July 13 to 16, with a closing ceremony on July 20. This program targets young individuals aged 13 to 17, focusing on developing skills in museum guiding, communication, and public speaking.

## Happy Holiday Summer Camp

From July 13 to August 20, the Happy Holiday Summer Camp invites children aged 7 to 12 to engage in educational and creative workshops across various museums, blending heritage, arts, and science.

## Specialized Workshops

Throughout July, SMA will host specialized workshops, including From the Heart of the Palm at Hisn Khorfakkan on July 4, The Gilded Horse Bridle at Sharjah Archaeology Museum on July 5, and Moon Day at Sharjah Science Museum on July 19, focusing on astronomy and space.

## Junior Aquarist Programme

In August, the Sharjah Aquarium will conduct its Junior Aquarist Programme from August 3 to 6 for children aged 9 to 13, offering insights into marine life and aquarium operations.

## Young Calligrapher Programme

Running concurrently, the Young Calligrapher Programme at Al Qasimia School introduces children to Arabic calligraphy and Kufic script through practical workshops.

## Family and Interactive Activities

Family-oriented activities continue with Summer is Better with Family at Sharjah Science Museum, featuring scientific workshops and interactive games. The Mould Story workshop on August 22 at the Resistance Monument will teach participants about plate-making history.

## Exhibitions and Permanent Experiences

Visitors can explore permanent interactive exhibits at various museums, including the Little Archaeologist Hall and live marine experiences. Temporary exhibitions include the 41st Annual Exhibition of the Emirates Fine Arts Society and Urban Memory at Sharjah Art Museum....
