Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled a new AI-driven system aimed at improving the efficiency and readiness of its bus services. This initiative is part of Dubai's broader strategy to integrate advanced technologies into public transport, aligning with the city's smart city goals.

## Enhanced Decision-Making

The AI system significantly reduces the time required for decision-making and bus deployment, cutting it down from up to an hour to under a minute. This improvement is expected to enhance the operational flexibility of over 1,100 buses, which are monitored under 26 different scenarios.

By leveraging real-time data, machine learning, and optimization algorithms, the system can quickly identify and deploy the most suitable buses according to current operational needs. This ensures the public transport network remains efficient and responsive to changes, such as those affecting the Dubai Metro and Tram services.

The RTA's Bus Operations Control Centre, in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Centre, developed this system to ensure service continuity and improve customer experience.
