Al Shehhi will hold the rank of Ministry Undersecretary and will report directly to the Chairman of the Authority. ## Oversight and Supervision

In his new role, Al Shehhi will supervise the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and manage the registration and accreditation of journalists, including those from foreign media outlets operating in the UAE's free zones.

## Previous Experience

Before this appointment, Al Shehhi served as the Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council. He has extensive experience in leadership roles within the media, specialized zones, and sports sectors, where he has been instrumental in various development projects and initiatives to empower national talent.
