## UAE's Strong Condemnation
The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation of an Iranian attack on Qatar's Al Rakeyyat vessel. The incident occurred near the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime passage.
## Threat to International Navigation
The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the attack as a significant threat to the safety and security of international navigation. The Ministry emphasized that such actions undermine the stability of one of the world's most crucial waterways.
## Support for Qatar
In its statement, the UAE expressed solidarity with Qatar, pledging full support for measures to protect Qatari vessels and ensure the freedom of navigation in regional and international waters.
## Violation of UN Resolution
The UAE Ministry pointed out that the attack violates UN Security Council Resolution 2817, which stresses the importance of free navigation and opposes the targeting of commercial vessels.
## Regional Stability at Risk
The Ministry further warned that using the Strait of Hormuz for economic coercion or blackmail poses a direct threat to regional stability, global energy security, and international trade.
