## Event Details
The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced the opening of registration for the 16th Sharjah International Publishers Conference. This event will take place from November 1 to 3 at the Expo Centre Sharjah, just before the 45th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) begins on November 4.
## Conference Highlights
The three-day conference aims to gather publishers, literary agents, and industry experts for specialized training, business matchmaking, and negotiations on publishing rights. A notable feature of the event is a $300,000 Translation Grant, alongside the Publishers Recognition Award.
## Vision and Goals
Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of SBA, emphasized the emirate's commitment to fostering a knowledge ecosystem that supports cultural development and future growth. The conference is designed to enhance the professional capabilities of publishers and expand the international reach of Arabic content.
## Workshops and Sessions
Participants can expect 30 specialized workshops covering topics such as AI in publishing, audio publishing, copyright and licensing, and international market expansion. These sessions aim to equip attendees with the skills needed to adapt to the rapidly changing publishing landscape.
## Registration Information
Interested publishers and literary agents are encouraged to register by August 25 through the conference website. Successful applicants will be notified by September 11.
