## Record Growth in Real Estate
Abu Dhabi's real estate market saw significant growth in the first half of 2026, with transactions totaling Dh117 billion. This marks a 112% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The number of transactions also rose by 61.7%, highlighting the emirate's appeal as a global investment hub.
## Surge in Sales and Mortgages
Sales transactions were a major driver, reaching Dh86.1 billion, a 163.7% rise from the previous year, across 16,838 transactions. Mortgage transactions also grew by 33.5%, totaling Dh26.7 billion from 8,876 transactions.
## Foreign Investment on the Rise
Foreign direct investment reached Dh13.8 billion, a 309% increase from the previous year. This level of investment is the highest recorded for the first half of any year, indicating strong international confidence in Abu Dhabi's market. The number of nationalities investing rose to 116, with significant contributions from the UK, China, Russia, the US, Germany, and France.
## Expansion of Investment Zones
Investment zones in Abu Dhabi attracted Dh75 billion, an increase of 181% from the previous year. The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre approved eight new investment zones, bringing the total to 50, and registered 28 new real estate projects, reflecting a 16% rise in development activity.
## Enhancing Market Transparency
The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre continues to focus on transparency and data reliability. The Madhmoun platform has issued over 41,200 permits for real estate advertisements, boosting investor confidence through improved market information.
