Sharjah cuts NOC issuance time from three days to two hours

## Faster NOC Issuance in Sharjah

Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has significantly reduced the time required to issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) from three days to just two hours. This change is part of SEWA's digital transformation efforts aimed at enhancing government services and improving customer experience.

## Digital Transformation

The initiative aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, to streamline procedures and support business and infrastructure projects in the emirate. SEWA has implemented advanced digital technologies and an integrated electronic system to enable instant processing and automated data verification.

## Benefits for Development Projects

Abdulrahim Al Zarouni, Director of the Shared Services Department at SEWA, emphasized that the faster issuance of NOCs is crucial for infrastructure projects and helps create a more attractive investment environment in Sharjah. The new system allows applications to be submitted 24/7 via SEWA's website and smart app, with real-time tracking available for applicants, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
