Why has PCB confiscated players’ phones ahead of third Test?

## Investigation in London

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken the unusual step of confiscating the mobile phones of several players in London. This action is part of an ongoing investigation, though specific details remain unclear.

## Squad Changes

This development follows significant changes to the Pakistan Test squad after their 194-run defeat to England at Lord’s. Seven players, including Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, were released from the team. New players like Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal have been called up for the final Test.

## Coaching Adjustments

In addition to player changes, the PCB has replaced head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul with Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke. Hesson, who joined the team recently, stated he was not involved in the initial squad selection and is focused on preparing the team for the upcoming match.

## Upcoming Test

The third and final Test against England is set to begin on September 9 at Edgbaston. The confiscated phones will remain with the PCB until the match concludes. The team faces pressure to perform after losing the first two Tests of the series.
