## New Research Award Launched

Sharjah Academy for Police Sciences has introduced the sixth edition of its Scientific Research Award, with a total prize fund of Dh600,000. This initiative aims to foster innovative research in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybercrime, and disaster management.

## Focus Areas and Participation

The award encourages studies that support security institutions and tackle future challenges. It covers topics like criminal investigations, community security, and future security foresight. Registration began on July 13, with submissions open until October 11. Winners will be announced in December, with cash prizes for the top three in each category.

## Global Participation

The award attracts researchers from the UAE and beyond, reflecting its growing international recognition. Previous editions saw participation from countries like France and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

## Evaluation and Conditions

Submitted research will undergo strict evaluation for quality and originality. Participants can submit up to two papers, and intellectual property rights will transfer to the Academy upon approval.

## Supporting Sharjah's Vision

The award aligns with Sharjah's commitment to science and knowledge, as emphasized by Major General Dr Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani. It aims to produce innovative solutions to security issues and enhance cooperation between academic and police institutions.
